Drug Abuse, or better termed as "Substance Abuse" according to medical practitioners, is becoming more and more common among youngsters in Hong Kong. It is not entrenched from the commonly perceived social stress and violence but curiosity from peers and lure for excitement in the materialistically affluent society. Drive for curiosity and desire for excitement are the instigators of all substance abuse and corrupted social environment of teenagers. Not only does substance abuse spread through schools and communities, it endangers lifestyle and health of teenagers, causing a resilient social crisis. The obvious solution to such problem is often "Aftermath Intervention" that offers assistance and rehabilitation. Yet in the broader view, the intervention approach is submissive and does not proactively drive youngsters away from substance abuse. On a microscopic scale, the roof tops of some existing buildings within the camp site are connected with the roof tops of -he newly introduced buildings and the surrounding landscape via landscape ramps to create a seamless experience of outdoor activities and indoor educational \ functionalities intertwining with each other in a "Knot" configuration similar to the traditional scout knotting training. /Teenagers can run freely on the landscape ramp which extend into and merge with the natural terrain to explore he various programmes planned for them to train their physique and mind. The permutations of programmes on the landscape ramp are infinite to satisfy the insatiable minds of the youth. On a macroscopic scale, the proposed new model campsite is envisioned as a hub of a larger urban network of the scout Operation that serves the teenagers from various parts of Hong kong over the decades. It shall help the youth generation to establish positive value system which is the primary cure for most of the youth problems encountered by the society at large.
